Thirty-five-year-old Joanne Allan decided to take her career in a new direction, giving up her Occupational Therapist job to study NC Medical Secretary with Digital Technologies at West College Scotland.
Joanne said,
“I was working as an Occupational Therapist and wanted a change of career. The subjects within this course interested me and I felt they would be beneficial in assisting me with my change of career.
‘I enjoyed improving my Word Processing skills and gained confidence and experience with Microsoft Access and Excel software.
‘I’m now looking to further my studies in Medical Secretary with the aim of securing an Administration job within the third sector.”
