Foundation Apprenticeships

West College Scotland is delighted to be working in partnership with Skills Development Scotland to deliver 10 exciting Foundation Apprenticeships for S5 & S6 pupils in our local schools.

A Foundation Apprenticeship will take an S5 pupil two years to complete, and is the same level of learning as a Higher (SCQF level 6). As pupils are working towards their qualification they will spend time out of school at college and with a local employer. We also offer shorter duration delivery models for S6 pupils.

Look and see the progression opportunities available to College or University.

Click here to see the alignment between the Foundation and related Modern Apprenticeship frameworks. This shows how much of the MA is covered on completion of the FA in the same subject. Completing the FA increases a young person's employability across 80+ MA frameworks.
