West Care Academy is an integrated skills programme offering training designed to equip learners with the essential skills required to pursue a career in the Care sector, develop the skills of Care workers and build the collaboration, innovation and leadership capability of local Care business to meet the challenges of a post pandemic society. It includes 2 different skills programmes for care staff.

Who is eligible to apply?

  • Local people living in West Dunbartonshire or Inverclyde who are currently unemployed looking to enter the Care sector.
  • Those experiencing poor Mental Health and Wellbeing issues that are acting as a barrier to learning and work.
  • Care workers looking to upskill to pursue supervisory or management roles.
  • Care employees in decision and leadership roles looking for professional development

Course Delivery

Courses will be delivered through a combination of community in Inverclyde and West Dunbartonshire, work based and online learning.
