Course content

What will I learn?

This course will provide you with an understanding of the concepts of health and wellbeing, including basic anatomy and physiology. You will learn about the role of nutrition in exercise, including energy, fluid replacement and how to measure personal fitness levels. You will also learn how to create a personal exercise and nutrition programme.

As part of this course you will need to complete a fitness test e.g. a timed walk and maintain an exercise plan this can include stretches, physio plan etc. This is a mandatory part of the course.

This level 2 course is ideal if you wish to develop your own personal exercise plan or are thinking of a role in the personal training sector.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • Understand Health, well-being and exercise
  • Understand the role of nutrition in exercise
  • Plan and prepare for personal exercise and nutrition

This is a marked course which requires short essay style answers to allow your assigned marker to be able to identify that you have understood the skills and knowledge to meet the awarding body standards. 

This is a fully online course and access to the materials and Assessments will be emailed to you.

What qualifications do I need?

As this course is delivered online it would be beneficial if the candidate had basic competence in IT and the internet.

This course does not require a personal statement.

What can I do after?

This course provides progression onto further Level 2 courses

You could complete in 10 weeks or use the full 20 weeks- it's up to you.

Please be aware that you could be withdrawn from your course if submission dates are vastly overdue. If at any point you are struggling with deadlines you should contact us for an extension which we will assign where possible.

On successful completion and confirmation from the awarding body you will receive your qualification e-certificate online which you can print and/or save for your records. Please note a fee may be required if a hard copy certificate is requested.
