Our Paisley Campus Building Services department recently constructed two new electrical booths to simulate real life work environments for learners to practice typical electrical installation work. The booths needed finishing touches to be well presented and inviting. Building on our cross campus strength, we asked our Greenock campus Construction department if they could help.

The team at Greenock Campus kindly arranged for three NPA Painting & Decorating students to come to Paisley Campus and do this work.

David Walker, Paisley Campus CQL for Building Services, was delighted by the students' work. He said:

This type of cross campus collaboration is of great benefit to all parties as it presents the learners with a ‘live ‘ project where they need to go to an unfamiliar premises and engage with an unknown client.  We are delighted with the outcome. The girls worked tirelessly and left a first class job. They were a credit to themselves and their lecturing staff at Greenock Campus in both the way they conducted themselves and the work they produced.

The three students were very happy to undertake this task. Andrew Neeson, Greenock Campus CEL for Construction, said:

The girls were ‘over the moon’. All three of them really appreciated working at the Paisley Campus, they were delighted about the warm welcome they received from your team!

Well done all!
