Course Aims

This qualification delivers the specialist knowledge and skills you need, including appropriate legislation, inspection and testing techniques, issuing of certificates and reports and understanding of results and measurements

Trains candidates in the principles, practices and legislation for the periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting of electrical installations. Suitable for anyone working in the electrical industry – Electricians, Electrical Installers, Building Maintenance Supervisors, anyone who deals with electrical installations within buildings.

Outline of Programme

The programme concentrates on principles, practices and legislation of periodic inspection and testing. 

Entry Requirements

No official entry requirements but candidates should have a good knowledge of electrical installation practice and the current IET wiring regulations.

Exam

The exam is in 3 parts

  • An online 40 question multiple choice test.
  • A written exam.
  • A practical assessment

Minimum Numbers to Run

This course requires a minimum of 12 participants to run. If this number isn’t reached then you will be contacted to offer you the next available date
