West College Scotland dominated the prizes, picking up the Students’ Award for Best Website, along with top spot placings for Digital Marketing, Integrated Marketing Campaign and Events. The College’s Marketing team also secured the Grand Prix award.

West College Scotland Principal, Audrey Cumberford, said:

This is a fantastic achievement on the part of the College’s Marketing team,  It will enhance their reputation as one of the best in the education sector and also grow the reputation of the College as a whole.

West College Scotland is extremely proud of them.  They consistently produce work of the highest standard and it’s great to see it recognised in this way. “ The CDN Marketing Awards are a key event in the sector’s calendar and are designed to recognise and celebrate the excellent marketing and communication practices taking place in colleges across Scotland.

Diarmid O’Hara, the Director of Communications, Policy & Planning at the College said:

“The College takes an innovative approach to everything we do and that’s also true of our marketing and communications.  These awards recognise the work we have done in building a sector-leading website and in developing an imaginative recruitment campaign through integrated marketing.  They also show that our approach is helping the College connect with students.”

The Grand Prix award was for an event organised at the Erskine Bridge hotel last August, involving 250 members of staff from Greenock, Clydebank and Paisley campuses.

Diarmid O’Hara said:

“This event - WITS (West College Scotland Information Technology Symposium) - was an outstanding success for the College.  The team used the full range of marketing and communications tools to deliver a day-long conference looking at how new technologies can transform teaching and learning. I’m delighted the judges agreed.”
