Course Overview

Course Aims

Our Electricity for Plumbers courses aim to help plumbers and heating engineers who work on central heating electrical control systems to work safely and comply with the appropriate standards. It is limited to work that will not involve working on fixed installation of the property.

Benefits of Attending

If you are a plumber and have no electrical background this course will increase your overall understanding of how electrical equipment works and how it is installed in relation to plumbing systems. Candidates will receive a BPEC certificate of competence and will be able to carry out work in accordance with the scope of the programme.

Outline of Programme

  • Central Heating control systems
  • Wiring and fault finding on S and Y plan systems
  • Electrical Systems
  • Use of multimeters
  • Central Heating appliance components

Entry Requirements

Candidates must hold a minimum of ACS CCN1 or CCLP and CEN 1 or CENWAT1 gas qualifications

Exam

  • Multiple choice paper
  • Practical exam

Course Duration

4 days. 9am to 5pm.
