West College Scotland is proud to have student STEM Ambassadors representing the College.

We are delighted to have won the Outstanding Employer Engagement category at the illustrious Herald Higher Education Awards. This Award comes to recognise our Design department's remarkable work with Neat Living, a Glasgow-based company providing innovative housing solutions.

Our Greenock Campus Construction students have worked throughout the Academic year on a project which aimed to transform a classroom into a Dementia Care room. The project has now reached completion and the room they’ve transformed will provide outstanding support to our Health & Social Care students in their learning experience.

Tuesday 20 June saw three finalists battle it out in final of the much coveted West College Scotland Paisley campus's Chef of the Year competition.

David Renton, Curriculum Quality Leader in Computing at our Paisley Campus, is one of only five finalists for the 2017 BAFTA Young Game Designers (YGD) Mentor Award.

Each year, the Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition recognises and rewards young people's achievements in all areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

2016-17 was another great year of accomplishments for our Greenock Campus Painting & Decorating department, with students working hard to develop strong skills and take steps towards a career into Construction. As the Academic year comes to an end, the department held a ceremony to award their most deserving apprentices and students.

Art and Design students experience one of Europe’s design capitals.

For their graded unit, our HNC Games development students had to design a game on a predefined theme: Paisley 2021. After 10 weeks of programming, development, design and fine-tuning, last Friday was THE big day! The games were being tested by very challenging judges: primary school pupils.

This academic year has seen the College’s HND Interior Architecture students team up with a range of design companies, providing them with invaluable real work experience, concluding with a collaboration with future led design company, Keppie Design.
