Construction students from our Paisley Campus took part in an event to promote traditional construction at the Paisley Abbey this Monday and Tuesday.

Ageing populations and the correlated increasing levels of chronic ill-health will require tomorrow – if not already today – an enhanced approach to home care. In light of this, a transnational Erasmus research project ‘Carevolution’ has been launched in February 2016 to examine the future role, responsibilities and qualifications of home care workers across Europe.

Our Greenock Campus Construction students have worked throughout the Academic year on a project which aimed to transform a classroom into a Dementia Care room. The project has now reached completion and the room they’ve transformed will provide outstanding support to our Health & Social Care students in their learning experience.

Tuesday 20 June saw three finalists battle it out in final of the much coveted West College Scotland Paisley campus's Chef of the Year competition.

David Renton, Curriculum Quality Leader in Computing at our Paisley Campus, is one of only five finalists for the 2017 BAFTA Young Game Designers (YGD) Mentor Award.

Each year, the Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition recognises and rewards young people's achievements in all areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

2016-17 was another great year of accomplishments for our Greenock Campus Painting & Decorating department, with students working hard to develop strong skills and take steps towards a career into Construction. As the Academic year comes to an end, the department held a ceremony to award their most deserving apprentices and students.
