What qualifications do I need?
You'll need an HNC qualification with 15 credits. Articulation to the HND is most suited to those who have studied social science subjects at SCQF level 7.
What can I do after?
Following successful completion of the course, you could articulate onto a variety of degree courses including:
- 1st year entry only at University of Glasgow and University of Strathclyde
- 2nd or 3rd year entry at the University of the West of Scotland and Stirling University depending on Graded Unit results and references.
- 3rd year entry at Glasgow Caledonian University
- BA Combined Social Science with the Open University
Studying Social Sciences also has the advantage of keeping your career options open with successful students moving into careers such as: social research, media research, human resources, public relations, teaching, policing, social work, charity, and community-based work.
