From the minute you start with us at West College Scotland you will be supported to get off to the best possible start with our fully online induction. The induction can be found on Evolve, our learning experience platform that enables personal effectiveness, learning and development at WCS. Every colleague has the opportunity to complete up to 5 days of CPD through self-directed, social and experiential learning interventions. Evolve is home to over 400 self-directed learning resources featuring topics such as:

- Health & Wellbeing
- Communication & Social
- Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
Organisational Development Managers work collaboratively with business areas to create annual strategic learning plans aligned to operational and curriculum plans. Funding is also available to complete courses, qualifications and accreditations that are not available on Evolve.
My Conversations is West College Scotland's approach to one-to-ones with your manager. It is a people-centric employee led approach so that you can take ownership for your own personal effectiveness and development. Through personal skills profiles and continuous cycle of conversation, your manager gets insight into your individual drivers, strengths, weaknesses, talents, skillsets and motivators which enable you to learn, develop and grow.
It provides clarity in objective setting, as it encourages a collaborative approach between you and your manager in which your individual goals and objectives align to the College objectives and priorities. You are at the heart of the process which powers meaningful conversations that are underpinned by your individual drivers.
