HND Photography Students from West College Scotland’s Paisley Campus have had the honour of their photography being exhibited at Glasgow’s Goethe Institut.

A team from West College Scotland are one step closer to winning a coveted seafood competition this week after landing a place in the final of the UK Young Seafood Chef of the Year.

The Faculty of Creative Industries is thrilled to present the Creative Industries Festival, which kicks off on Tuesday 31 May with a three day jam packed event schedule at SWG3 in Glasgow’s trendy Finneston.

Well done goes to seven HN Photographers from Clydebank and Paisley who managed to raise £442 by selling their portraiture shots from the prestigious Graduation Ceremonies in November.

HNC Fashion Make-Up students from West College Scotland’s Greenock Campus have seen their skills lead straight to employment, with two moving straight into positions as Make-Up Artists with renowned US brand Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.

WEST College Scotland students are continuing to benefit from a fruitful partnership between the College and International Air Services Company Swissport.

WEST College Scotland HND Make-Up student Melissa Renton had an amazing experience working with Largs Players on the world premiere of ‘Caledonia USA’ – a musical based on the songs of local legends Gallagher & Lyle. However little did she know it would be a family reunion!

Our students go on to achieve great things! 2012 HND Photography graduate Mac McLaren just came back from the Invictus Games where he was working as part of the official photography team. We’ve asked him a few questions about his fantastic experience, capturing intense sports moments and meeting personalities including HRH Prince Harry, Michael J Fox and the World’s Strongest man!

Students were enthused by this exceptional trip and more than ever eager to expand their knowledge in computing and other fields.

Greenock Students on West College Scotland’s NC Police Services and NC Introduction to Criminal Justice programmes recently welcomed PC Audrey Paul, Special Constable/PSYV Co-ordinator with Police Scotland, for a workshop on employability.
