Tommy has been involved in the electrical construction industry for all of his working life. For the past 20 years he has worked as a S.E.C.T.T. examiner and latterly as an electrical science lecturer at West College Scotland.

Tommy has supported British forces is far flung places including several tours in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Falkland Islands building and maintaining airfields and hospitals.

As the EIS/FELA Board Member he is enthusiastic for more collaboration between management and unions ensuring West becomes the college every college aspires to be.

Tommy is passionate about meaningful lifelong learning which enables students and enriches their lives, growing self-esteem, allowing them to be a valued member of the community.
