Steven has been a member of the lecturing staff at West College Scotland since May 2021, having previously served as Quality Standards Coordinator. Prior to this, he held a range of professional services roles within the College, having joined the organisation in October 2008.

He holds a BA in Business and Management from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE) from the University of Aberdeen. He is a registered member of the General Teaching Council for Scotland and has completed several postgraduate professional qualifications including with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and the Chartered Management Institute.

In addition to his role at the College, Steven is a Qualifications Development Specialist with Qualifications Scotland, where he recently contributed to the development of the HN NextGen qualifications in Administration and Digital Business Technologies.

Having started his own educational journey in further education, Steven has a strong personal connection to the sector and a genuine passion for its role in transforming lives and creating opportunities. He is committed to ensuring the College continues to make a positive impact for students, staff, employers and the wider community.
