Mariia Taras is a Student President at West College Scotland, dedicated to representing and supporting the voices of students across the college.

She is currently studying the Digital Administration (Business, Level 6) course. Prior to this, she successfully completed an ESOL course in 2025 and a Cybersecurity course in 2026, continuously expanding her technical and professional skill set.

Before relocating to the UK in 2022, Mariia graduated from university in her home country with a degree from the Management Faculty. Since arriving in Scotland, she has remained focused on personal and professional growth, further developing her leadership skills to empower others.

Mariia is passionate about advocating for the student body and ensuring that every student feels supported, heard, and represented across West College Scotland.
