I studied Science at the Clydebank campus and have recently been elected as the new Student President.
I applied for this position as I have experience in areas of work such as marketing and advertisement, advising the public, running job fairs and giving speeches to large audiences, gaining experience in these areas after participating in a 12-week program for the Princes’ Trust where I gained a certificate in first aid and food hygiene.
Shortly after the program my team leader put me forward to be a Princes’ Trust Young Ambassador where I was responsible for participating in charity and sponsored events, working with companies to gain partnerships, brainstorming marketing ideas and meeting with MPs to give updates on the company. I was later nominated for a Young Ambassador of the Year award and was one of three finalists in the whole of the UK. During my time as an ambassador, I developed my personal skills and qualities while sharing my personal story to inspire others.
My goal is to always set new objectives and use my skills to help others.
I am a current student at the Clydebank Campus, studying HND Sports. This year I have been elected to be the Vice President for Clydebank.
The reason I want to be part of the Students’ Association is to help make a change for the year that I am here, making the students experience as great as I can and ensuring students have somewhere to go if they ever need any help.
I have worked in the sports and leisure industry since I was 16 where I completed a modern apprenticeship and worked in various different leisure centres. I have been working as a sports coach since I was 13 and have worked with different people from all around the world.
I was awarded the Youth Achievement award for my contribution to the community.
