Coding Clubs launched in three more schools

On receiving additional funding from The Digital Xtra Fund, we are delighted to have successfully launched Coding Clubs into a further three Renfrewshire Secondary schools. The clubs aim at engaging S1/2 pupils in the use of the BBC Micro:Bit amongst other digital programmes and encouraging them to become more involved in coding.

28 Renfrewshire Schools teachers attend Digital Development Sessions

The sessions, supported by the Digital Xtra Fund, aimed at enhancing their use of coding in the classroom. The Met Office has issued a “red” warning for disruption because of widespread snow during today and into tomorrow. The forecast is for disruption to continue through to 10:00 tomorrow. The College will continue to monitor the forecast and would look to make an assessment on whether the College will be open tomorrow by 10pm tonight (28 February).
