West College Scotland has been officially recognised as a Living Wage employer. The accreditation comes from the Poverty Alliance which says paying the Living Wage is one of the best ways of tackling in-work poverty.

Our Paisley Campus Building Services department recently constructed two new electrical booths to simulate real life work environments for learners to practice typical electrical installation work. The booths needed finishing touches to be well presented and inviting. Building on our cross campus strength, we asked our Greenock campus Construction department if they could help.

In 2018 the College will utilise further funding awarded by the Digital Xtra Fund to launch an additional three coding clubs in Renfrewshire secondaries. The clubs are set to launch in January in St Andrews Academy, Gryffe High School and Gleniffer High School.

No less than twenty-five HNC Interior Architecture students from our Clydebank and Paisley Campuses took part and wowed a Judging panel with their creative designs to revamp the College’s Paisley Dining Room, which now thanks to the winning concepts will be refurbished in April. Laleh Eskandari, 25 and Gemma McNally, 25 were praised for their contemporary, on trend and inspiring interiors.
