West College Scotland Hosts Successful Care Careers Events

West College Scotland was delighted to host its annual Care Careers Event across all three campuses, marking the second year of this successful initiative. The events were designed to support both current students and members of the local community in exploring career opportunities within the care sector, while connecting directly with local employers.

The events provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to meet local care sector employers, discover a wide range of job opportunities and career pathways, and gain valuable insights into industry expectations. Attendees were also able to ask questions, network directly with recruiters, and learn more about courses that can support their career progression.

A wide range of respected organisations attended, including NHS, Quarriers, SAMH, Spark of Genius, Alzheimer Scotland, CrossReach and Erskine Hospital, offering attendees valuable access to real-world opportunities and advice.

The events proved to be a great success, with strong attendance and engagement across all campuses.

It was fantastic to see so many positive conversations taking place throughout the events. Opportunities like this are invaluable in helping students connect with employers, and we’ve seen important relationships being established and strengthened with our external partners.
