This forward-looking partnership brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to empowering individuals, supporting local industries, and building a more resilient regional economy. By aligning their expertise, resources, and vision, both partners aim to create meaningful pathways into education, training, and employment—particularly for those facing barriers to entering the labour market.
At the heart of the agreement is a shared ambition to cultivate vibrant, sustainable partnership working that delivers real impact. Through joint initiatives, the partnership will focus on:
- Supporting individuals furthest from the labour market with tailored opportunities and targeted support
- Expanding access to education by actively engaging and guiding prospective students
- Collaborating to identify and address gaps in curriculum provision through innovative, externally funded programmes
- Strengthening engagement with key regional employers and stakeholders across public and private sectors
- Creating valuable work placement opportunities to enhance student experience and employability
- Sharing resources, expertise, and best practice to enrich learning, teaching, and professional development across both organisations
A Strategic Oversight Group will guide the partnership’s direction, supported by an operational group to drive implementation and ensure progress is both measurable and impactful over the initial 36-month period.
