Nicole Easton, a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician, has successfully delivered a health promotion project aimed at raising awareness of sepsis and antimicrobial resistance.
Nicole, who is currently undertaking her apprenticeship with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in partnership with West College Scotland, delivered the project at The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre in Glasgow. The project formed part of Nicole's training and provided an opportunity to raise awareness on two key healthcare issues that have a direct impact on patient care.
The Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship combines workplace-based learning with academic study, enabling trainees to work towards a nationally recognised qualification and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Throughout the programme, trainees gain experience across a range of pharmacy services, all while developing the knowledge and skills required to support patient care and the safe and effective use of medicines.
