Social Sciences (Level 5) - January Start

This course will introduce you to a wide selection of fascinating subjects which help us understand society and social life, providing you with the skills and knowledge to kick start a wide range of possible future careers. You will study a range of subjects from:

• History
• Psychology
• Sociology
• Criminology
• Communications
Contemporary Issues

You will also have a dedicated guidance tutor who will help you navigate your way to success.

What qualifications do I need?

If you have just left school, you will have studied to National 4 level or equivalent. We will also accept applications from mature students with little or no qualifications.

Acceptance onto this programme will also be based on an interview and will require a written piece of work to determine suitability. You should be able to demonstrate basic numeracy and communication skills and a genuine interest in learning and furthering your education.

What can I do after?

There are various progression routes in the Social Sciences following successful completion of the course including:

NC Social Sciences – Level 5 or 6 and Access programmes depending on suitability.
