What will I learn?

On this course you will study core subjects such as chemistry and lab skills along with a range of options depending on the route you choose:

• Cell Biology
• Statistics
• Biochemistry
• Pharmacological Principles
• Pharmacotherapeutics (infectious disease)
• Pharmacotherapeutics (cardiovascular system)

As part of the HNC course you will also complete a Graded Unit.

What can I do after?

After successfully completing this course you’ll have the skills needed to get a technician grade post in areas such as research and medical laboratory sciences, or in pharmaceutical/chemical industries.

Alternatively you could find employment in the science manufacturing sector producing materials for use in labs or in diagnostic kits.

Or you could develop your skills further by studying another course, such as:

• HND Applied Biological Science (Biomedical Route)
• A degree in a range of subjects including Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Forensics, and Pharmacology.
