Who is this course for?
People with a disability, learning difficulty and/or a health condition who are long term unemployed.

What will I learn?

  • Employability Skills: You’ll gain an increased understanding of the world of work; what employers are looking for and how to behave at work.
  • Classroom Learning Skills: You’ll work on practical projects designed to encourage team work and peer support.
  • Communication Skills: You’ll learn about self-awareness and self-presentation.
    In addition to the above, course will cover: (bullet these please) confidence building and motivation; pros and cons of work versus non work; understanding the world of work; budgeting; job seeking skills; attitude to finding work; workplace behaviour skills.

What qualifications will I need?
No qualifications are required

What can I do after?
Progression on to a part time or full time supported learning course.
Progression on to a mainstream college course.
Working as a volunteer.
