    This course is fully accredited by The National Examining Board for Dental Nurses and includes a work placement within a dental practice. 

    The National Examining Board for Dental Nurses, Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing (RQF) is assessed in three ways:

    • Internally by completion of an electronic portfolio of evidence
    • Externally by an online knowledge test comprised of multiple-choice questions
    • Externally by an online professional discussion with an NEBDN examiner.

    Once you have gained the qualification you will be eligible to register with The General Dental Council as a dental nurse and also achieve UCAS points.

    What qualifications do I need?

    You'll need three passes at National 5, Intermediate 2 or Standard Grade, including English and Biology or another science. Mature students without qualifications may also be considered. 

    What can I do after?

    The course is aimed at people who want to continue their professional development in the dental field, and/or prepare for the NEBDN examination within 18 months.
