The course will offer the opportunity to leant a wide criteria of make up and hairstyling to enable you progress to employment within various fashion makeup job roles.

During your course you will be expected to gain experience/employment within the fashion makeup industry which will contribute to your course work throughout the year.

What qualifications do I need?

Level 5 Fashion Hair and Makeup or Level 6 Beauty Therapy or Level 5/6 Hairdressing

Relevant creative industry experience in art or photography

Preferred 2 Highers from English, Art, Design, Photography or IT

Direct entry will be considered for applicants who have prior experience in the cosmetic, fashion, hairdressing or beauty and aesthetic industry. A keen knowledge and understanding of working as an MUA within the fashion industry, creative flair, imagination and ability to work to timescales within a team

Minimum age: 16* (*must turn 16 within 4 weeks of the course start date)

What can I do after?

On successfully completing the HNC you will have gained the skills needed to work as a fashion MUA for a leading cosmetic house, create bridal make up, fashion make up freelance or gain representation from an agency or artistic hair team.

Our past alumnii have gone on to work within fashion make up brands, bridal hair and make up, fashion influencers and commercial productions across the world.

On completion of the course, successful candidates who wish to further their employment opportunities within media may wish to apply for entry to year 1 of HND Makeup Artistry.
