Foundation Apprenticeships at West
West College Scotland is delighted to be working in partnership with the Scottish Funding Council to deliver Foundation Apprenticeships for S5 & S6 pupils in our local schools.
We deliver Level 5 and Level 6 Foundation Apprenticeships, these take one year to complete. A level 6 foundation apprenticeship is the same level of learning as a Higher (SCQF level 6). As pupils are working towards their qualification they will spend time out of school at college and with a local employer.

Click here to see the alignment between the Foundation and related Modern Apprenticeship frameworks. This shows how much of the MA is covered on completion of the FA in the same subject. Completing the FA increases a young person's employability across 80+ MA frameworks.
