Overview
What will I learn?
The course provides the basic language skills you need to communicate in spoken and written English. You'll learn about:
- English grammar
- Vocabulary and pronunciation
- Employability skills
- Study skills
- Skills for life in Scotland
- IT
What qualifications do I need?
You don’t need any ESOL qualifications, but you must have the right language level for this course.
If you apply to study Intermediate ESOL, we’ll ask you to attend a language assessment so that we can decide if it is the best level of study for you.
What can I do after?
You will feel more confident in applying for employment opportunities that require English for routine situations. You could also continue your studies by moving on to ESOL at Upper Intermediate (SCQF Level 5).
