What qualifications do I need?

  • NC Engineering Systems Level 5, NC Mechanical Engineering Level 5, NC Electrical Engineering Level 5 A
  • Four National 5 passes C or above; of which Mathematics and Physics must be 2 of them.
  • Mature students returning to education with no formal education but have life experience will be considered on an individual basis.
  • Acceptance onto this course will be via interview

What can I do after?

On completion of the course it is possible for candidates to progress onto HNC awards in Mechanical, Electrical and Engineering Systems Engineering or Pre-apprenticeship courses.  

Successful graduates are highly sought after and typically progress into technician-level roles across a variety of engineering sectors. Opportunities exist in engineering manufacturing, mechanical maintenance and electrical maintenance, engineering design, and the renewable energy sector.
