Course overview

What will I learn?

This new course at level 6 is for those wishing to pursue a career in the care sector and / or progress with gaining relevant care qualifications.

You will learn about:

  • Communicating in Care Relationships
  • Assisted Technology in Care Practice
  • Safeguarding in Care
  • Human Development and Social Influences in Care
  • Safe Practice and Well-being

This course will be delivered on line and so applicants need to have access to Wi-Fi and a laptop.

What qualifications do I need?

You are expected to have a minimum of 4 Nat 5 qualifications and it is preferred that one of these is English at C or above.

For those returning to study then alternative qualifications and experience in care will be considered.

Applicants must provide a personal statement in their application and 2 references are required.

What can I do after?

Successful students can apply for NC Higher Health and Social Care and may be considered for HNC Social Services. Successful students will have gained relevant skills and knowledge to apply for caring jobs.
