What will I learn?
Our lecturing team who have a wealth of experience of working in the childhood practice field, will support your learning in the following areas
- Child Development and Health
- Practice of Play
- Process of Play
- Working with Children and Young People
- Supporting Children’s Rights
- Care and Feeding of Children
Through opportunities on the course to work with young children, you will develop your practical and employability skills.
What qualifications do I need?
You must have evidence of working at level 5 and demonstrate an interest in children's learning and development. Applicants should be 16 or above before the start date of the course.
You must be eligible to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
What can I do after?
After successfully completing this course, you will have the knowledge and skills needed to work in a supporting role.
Or you could develop your skills further by studying another course, such as:
