Course Content:
To equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively apply, maintain and remove gel nail extensions and UV curing gel BIAB nail enhancements while working to professional industry standards, and complete the Level 6 unit in gel nail extensions
Freeform Sculpture using Light Curing Gel (SCQF level 6) (J8FV 46)
This course provides learners with the opportunity to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to perform professional UV curing gel BIAB (Builder in a Bottle) nail enhancement services. Learners will develop competence in consultation, preparation, application, maintenance, infill and safe removal of gel nail extensions and BIAB nail enhancements.
The course is designed to build a strong foundation in UV gel technology and provides a progression route into advanced gel systems, hard gel enhancements and advanced nail technology services.
What qualifications do I need?
No formal qualifications are required; however, an interest in the nail industry and professional salon standards is recommended.
For health and safety reasons candidates must be 16 years old at the time of enrolling.
What can I do after?
On successful completion of the course students may apply for a full-time Level 6 Professional Beauty course
