After their seven day trip across Europe the West College Scotland Motoscape team cruised back into town.

West College Scotland has many stakeholder partnerships across the West of Scotland. These partnerships enhance our students’ learning experience whilst at College and strengthen links with local organisations.

We’re always delighted to welcome students from different backgrounds and with different profiles in our classes. This makes the learning experience even better for all our students and helps promote diversity.

Two of our Greenock Campus Learner Development students have been recognised for their ‘eagle eye’ at the Wild Glasgow Photography Competition this summer.

As part of our long lasting partnership with Clark Contracts, we were happy to welcome four of their Joinery Apprentices – three of whom are also WCS students – for their end of first year skills assessment.

A group of Motor Vehicle students from West College Scotland are gearing up to take on their very own Top Gear style challenge.

Supported by Skills Development Scotland (SDS), West College Scotland is working with schools and employers across the region to offer Foundation Apprenticeships in engineering, civil engineering, software development, healthcare, childcare, financial service and business.

Already the largest boat show in Scotland and the biggest brokerage show in the UK, Scotland’s Boat Show 2016’s popular Food & Drink Pavilion promises to be the best yet after a partnership agreement with West College Scotland means that young hospitality students will have the chance to work alongside famous TV celebrity chef Nick Nairn at this year’s show.

Teaming up with the Prince’s Trust as part of their ‘Get Into’ programme, WCS put thirteen youngsters to work, delivering a six week course in Electrical Installation.

A charity called Fixers had been working with West College Scotland students to share their stories and the issues close to their hearts.
