Overview

What will I learn?

On this course, learners will develop industry-relevant skills at SCQF Level 5 across a range of exciting digital media areas, including:

  • Animation – bring stories and characters to life
  • Graphic Design & Illustration – create eye-catching visuals and original artwork
  • Photography – capture and edit professional-quality images
  • Podcasting & Radio – plan, record and produce engaging audio content

What qualifications do I need?

As a minimum, applicants should have:

  • National 4 qualifications, including English and at least one creative subject

We will also strongly consider applicants who have already completed a SCQF Level 4 creative course at college.

If you have qualifications at SCQF Level 5 or above in another subject area, you are still welcome to apply — as long as you can demonstrate a real passion for creativity during your interview.

What can I do after?

This course is a great first step into the Creative Industries. It’s designed to help you build confidence, develop your skills, and prepare you for further study at SCQF Level 6.

After completing this course, you’ll be well placed to apply for one of our NQ Level 6 Creative Industries courses, including:

  • Architectural & Interior Design
  • Graphic Design
  • Media
  • Photography
