Content

This 1-day course will provide you with knowledge and practical experience of the following:

The role of the first aider
Accident and Incident reporting; first aid box
Resuscitation procedures and managing an unconscious casualty
Primary and secondary survey
Basic Life Support and demonstration of AED
Choking
Recovery position
Control and Management of common health emergencies including:
Heart Attack, Angina,
Wounds and Bleeding,
Haemorrhagic and anaphylactic shock
Burns/Scalds,
Fractures / Head and Spinal Injuries
Diabetes, Epilepsy, Meningitis

Practical bandaging session including slings
