A Safe, Phased Return to Our Campuses

Reopening our campuses to both students and staff in the safest way possible, whilst delivering first-class education and training, is of paramount importance to the College.

In the new academic year 20-21, on-campus attendance and activity will be restricted, at least initially, to ensure that we have the fewest people on any campus at any one time. To facilitate this, staff and students – unless otherwise informed – will continue to work and learn remotely. For those who are required to be on campus visible public health measures are in place.

We will continue to work throughout the College, across the sector and with the government and public health agencies to suppress Coronavirus and safeguard the health of our staff and students.

April 2021 Update

In line with Scottish Government guidance, from Monday 19 April the College will commence a phased return for on campus teaching and learning for students whose learning is time-sensitive and critical to them successfully completing their studies. Further information will be available to those students coming back on campus via their course leaders.

10 Things You Need To Know When On Campus

Maintain social distancing where possible when on the College campus. Remember: keep left, keep apart

Wear a face covering when using public transport on your way to and from College

Face coverings should be worn in indoor communal areas throughout the campus, such as corridors, libraries and toilets, at all times. In Level 3 and 4 areas, face coverings must also be worn in classrooms and workshops.

Follow the new signage when entering, moving around and leaving the campus

Lifts will have limited capacity – if you can, use the stairs and keep the lifts free for people who need them

Do not attend the College if you, or anyone in your household, has symptoms or has tested positive for Covid-19

Teams of staff will rotate around campuses cleaning high-touch areas throughout the day

Ensure desks are clear and that surfaces and equipment are cleaned before and after personal use

We will provide a limited grab-and-go catering service, with a selection of sandwiches and wraps on offer
