Thirty two year old HNC Interior Architecture student Scott Black from Greenock talks about his studies at West College Scotland.

'I knew a few people who had studied at the College and I had heard the design department was very good. I had been out of education for a long while I was looking for a way into uni. I went onto the College website and the course content was laid out very well, so it made it easy to select the correct course for me.

I chose HNC Interior Architecture  because I was unsure about what I wanted to do in the future, and the content seemed varied so I could get a better idea of what I was good at and what I enjoyed.

To be honest I enjoyed  all the course, but the graded unit at the end of the year was my highlight as I got to see all things I'd learned come together. The course wasn’t difficult, but it was definitely challenging enough to keep me interested! On top of this, the lecturers were excellent and supportive, as well as the classes being varied and interesting. The student finance department were top notch too 😊!

To anyone considering this course, I couldn't recommend it enough. Even if you are unsure about what you want to do in future all the different projects within the course will help to give you a better idea.

Next year I am going into first year Product Design and Innovation at Strathclyde University.  I am looking to finish my degree and pursue a career with the Design Industry.'
