What will I learn?

Technology is evolving at a very fast pace, so it is important to keep up with the changes and develop your digital skills.

Technology is playing more of a role within care and support services, it is important that care workers understand how to use it.  You will learn how to protect devices and important data containing patient details, how to communicate using technology along with other necessary skills to support your career.

There are 4 units in this course including:

  • Using and Managing Information
  • Keeping yourself and others Safe when using Digital Devices
  • Communicating and Collaborating Online
  • Digital Career Development

This is a marked course which requires short essay style answers to allow your assigned marker to be able to identify that you have understood the skills and knowledge to meet the awarding body standards.  The awarding body for this course is NCFE

This is a fully online course, you will be emailed with a login to access the course and assessments

What qualifications do I need?

As this course is delivered online it would be beneficial if the candidate had basic competence in IT and the internet.

This course does not require a personal statement.

What can I do after?

This course provides progression to further Level 2 or 3 programmes.

No of Weeks – 20

You could complete in 10 weeks or use the full 20 weeks- it's up to you.

Please be aware that you could be withdrawn from your course if submission dates are vastly overdue. If at any point you are struggling with deadlines you should contact us for an extension which we will assign where possible

On successful completion and confirmation from the awarding body you will receive your qualification e-certificate online which you can print and/or save for your records. Please note a fee may be required if a hard copy certificate is requested.
