What will I learn?
This is an introductory course to the exciting global world of Esports. Esports (short for electronic sports), is a form of competition using video games. Esports often takes the form of organised, human versus human, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players, individually or as teams.
This course is designed to introduce you to the esports industry to understand the skills necessary when playing esports and esports events. The course includes the following topics:
- The esports industry.
- How to succeed when playing esports.
- Esports enterprises & branding.
- Esports events & streaming.
What qualifications do I need?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, as it is delivered online it would be beneficial if the candidate had basic competence in IT and the internet.
This course does not require a personal statement.
What can I do after?
This course is a good starting point for those individuals who are interested in e-sports whether it be taking part in or organising e-sport events you may also be looking to progress to higher level in college courses.
Programme Information
You can enrol onto and start this course at any time throughout the year.
From your start date on the course you have up to 12 weeks to complete your course. You could complete your course in 2 weeks or use the full 12 weeks- it's up to you. Study whenever you want, at your own pace.
