What will I learn?
This short online auto-marked course teaches how to look at personal behaviours in situations where feeling confident or a lack of confidence, areas of low confidence, as well as uncomfortable social situations and the reasons for these. Review examples of behaviour which may be inappropriate in such situations, and how to change attitudes and behaviour to participate more effectively.
Look at scenarios that cause stress, how to recognise feelings of stress and techniques to reduce it and improve well-being. Plan short-term goals, action plans to meet them, how to identify and record achievements, and how goal setting can affect confidence.
Topics covered in this course include:
- Understand reasons for feeling confident and lacking confidence
- Understand effective participation in social situations
- Understand ways to manage stress
- Be able to set goals for own development
This is an auto-marked course, you will receive a college certificate online when you have successfully completed which you can print and/or save for your records.
What qualifications do I need?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, as it is delivered online it would be beneficial if the candidate had basic competence in IT and the internet.
This course does not require a personal statement.
