Course Overview

Course Aims

For candidates to work on a construction site as a labourer they need to obtain a CSCS card. To gain the card they need to pass a multiple choice safety test and complete a Level 1 SVQ in Health & Safety.

  • CSCS Operatives Test (Green Labourer Card)
  • SVQ Level 1 Award:  Health & Safety in a Construction Environment

This test is a pre-requisite for clients wishing to apply for a CSCS Labourers card (candidates must also complete the CSCS Operatives Test)

CSCS Operatives Test

  • 50 Multiple choice questions covering a wide range of Health & Safety topics related to construction. Includes Safety signage, manual handling, fire risk, working at heights

SVQ Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment

  • Hazards and risks
  • Working at Height
  • Plant & Equipment
  • Manual Handling
  • Hazardous substances
  • Reporting accidents
  • Assessment

Course Duration

2 days. 9am to 5pm.
