Course Aims

This course is aimed at gas operatives who currently hold a CCN1 natural gas qualification and want to carry out work on installations and appliances using LPG. It is a conversion course that converts natural gas qualifications to the equivalent LPG counterpart

Benefits of Attending

Successful completion will allow operatives to carry out work on LPG devices. For example if an operative was qualified to carry out work on natural gas cookers, after gaining this qualification they could carry out work on cookers fuelled by LPG.

  • Gas safety regulations relating to LPG
  • Safe handling and storage of gas
  • LPG pipework and hoses
  • Properties and characteristics of LPG
  • Cylinder supplies
  • Pressure, regulators and LPG control devices
  • Relevant Health & Safety regulations
  • Unsafe situations, how to avoid and deal with them

Entry Requirements

Must hold a current CCN1 qualification and relevant appliance qualification

  • Multiple choice exam
  • Practical Assessment

Course Duration

2 days. 9am – 5pm
