Overview

This accredited course is designed to provide delegates with an introduction to the systematic approach to training. It is comprehensive in content at this level and enables the delegates to build the skills, knowledge and abilities of an effective trainer.

Content

This course is comprehensive in content at this level, building the skills, knowledge and abilities of a participant that is required to be an effective trainer.

You will be introduced to a range of essential tips, techniques, knowledge and skills covering:

  • Planning, delivering and evaluating sessions
  • Setting ground rules
  • Use of icebreakers
  • The learning environment
  • Training resources
  • Gaining and maintaining attention
  • Motivation
  • Assessment.

You will learn in the classroom.

The knowledge and practical skills gained on the course will be assessed by a multiple choice quiz and an observation (by the course tutor) of the participants' delivered session, on which they will receive formal feedback.

Duration

This is a 2-day programme. Delegates should be made aware that there are two assessments on day two:  (1) multiple choice test, (2) delivery of a practical 10 minute training session.
