A number of government agencies and industry organisations provide funding options for companies and individuals to help with training and professional development.  Our award-winning Business Development team can help with a funding solution which best suits you.

 

  • SAAS (Students Awards Agency Scotland) Funding
    The Scottish Government provides financial support to eligible students doing a course of higher education in the UK including students studying on part time course.

  • Skills Development Scotland
    SDS offers a wealth of resources and guidance to help individuals choose a career path and identify funding to support education and training activities.

  • Individual Learning Account
    Some courses on this site are pre-approved for funding using an Individual Learning Account or ILA. An ILA can provide £200 towards the cost of training. However not everyone is eligible to receive this funding and you must apply if it is your intention to fund or part fund your course with an ILA. If you’re aged 16 or over, living in Scotland, have an income of £22,000 a year or less or on benefits you may be eligible to apply. If you intend to use an ILA to fund your course, please note you must provide your ILA voucher number to our Finance office before the course start date.   • Modern Apprenticeships
    Help towards sourcing of relevant vocational training and contribution towards training costs.
  • Employer Recruitment Incentive (ERI)
    Help towards sourcing of relevant vocational training and contribution towards training costs.
    Scotland's Employer Recruitment Incentive continues to deliver the Scottish Government's commitment to target support at unemployed young people with additional barriers.
    The incentive provides employers with a financial contribution to the additional costs of recruiting and sustaining a young person in employment, including a Modern Apprenticeship.

  • Flexible Training Opportunities
    Flexible Training Opportunities (FTOs) give small Scottish businesses the opportunity to apply for up to £3,000 towards employee training costs.  To be eligible for this incentive your business needs to employ less than 100 people.

  • Adopt an Apprentice
    If you employ a redundant apprentice for at least 12 months, you will receive £2,000 to help with recruitment and wage costs.

  • Professional & Career Development Loan
    A Professional and Career Development Loan is a bank loan to help you pay for work-related learning. You may be able to borrow between £300 and £10,000.  Loans are usually offered at a reduced interest rate and the government pays interest while you’re studying.
