What will I learn?

In the UK today there is an ever growing number of people living with a common health condition. These conditions have varying effects and all require continual management in order to minimise the impact they have on an individual’s day-to-day life.

This course will also strengthen awareness of the many signs, symptoms and treatments available for a variety of common health conditions. These conditions include; cardiovascular disease, arthritis and physical disability. You will also discover how to care for individuals and enable them to manage, monitor and control their condition effectively.

Topics covered in this course include:

  •  Understand how to contribute to monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions
  •  Stroke awareness
  •  Parkinson’s disease awareness
  • Arthritis awareness

This is a marked course which requires short essay style answers to allow your assigned marker to be able to identify that you have understood the skills and knowledge to meet the awarding body standards. The awarding body for this course is TQUK.

This is an online course with online learning materials and assessments, you will be emailed with a login to access the course.

What qualifications do I need?

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, as it is delivered online it would be beneficial if the candidate had basic competence in IT and the internet.

This course does not require a personal statement.

What can I do after?

This course provides progression to Level 2 programmes.

Please be aware that you could be withdrawn from your course if submission dates are vastly overdue. If at any point you are struggling with deadlines you should contact us for an extension which we will assign where possible.

On successful completion and confirmation from the awarding body you will receive your qualification e-certificate online which you can print and/or save for your records. Please note a fee may be required if a hard copy certificate is requested.
