What will I learn?
This course involves training in airport services and ground handling, including ticketing, seating methods, check-in and boarding requirements.
Subjects include: Passports and Visas, Tickets, Hand/Hold baggage, Seating Methods, Check-in Procedures, Boarding and Announcements, Arrivals, Flight Disruption and assisting passengers who may have special requirements.
Please note that students have to be aged 18 by course completion date
Students who have completed this course in Paisley are guaranteed an interview with a Swissport trainer for employment starting in 26 March and 16 April 2018 on successful completion of this certificate. The course completed on 2 February has resulted in 91% of the successful completers offered employment at Glasgow airport with Swissport.
There are currently no sources of funding for this course, all delegates must pay the full cost of £200 before they start on the course.
What qualifications do I need?No formal entry requirements, however candidates must be over 18 years of age.
What can I do after?
Successful candidates will be offered an interview with Swissport at Glasgow Airport (subject to available positions). After completion students may wish to apply for the NC International Travel with Airport Ground Operations Course.
To be eligible for interview candidates must have lived in Scotland for at least 5 years and be able to provide a full reference history.
