Health and Safety in a Construction Environment

Has your CSCS card expired?
Are you aware that you may be required to undertake a mandatory preparation unit to enable you to sit the CSCS test. This unit is H71C 04 Health & Safety In The Construction Environment and is for candidates that do not have a recognised trade background or SVQ in an appropriate discipline.
This 40 hour unit will be delivered over a series of classroom based sessions, organised by the department and lecturer in preparation for CSCS assessment.
Candidates will be working through the CSCS booklet to prepare them for the exam. Each candidate will be given this booklet and study materials to keep for reference purposes, as well as access to an online platform Moodle where additional CSCS material can be accessed. This allows learners to practice the exam type questions and use the online discussion tools to communicate with the tutors out with the prescribed learning periods.
Candidates will be given support materials prior to the course commencing to provide more time to prepare for the course.
What qualifications do I need?No formal entry requirements however candidates should be aiming to seek employment in the construction industry.
What can I do after?The Award may provide progression to gaining CSCS Green Card
