What will I learn?
If you enjoy working with people and want to encourage them to take a positive approach to health and wellbeing could be the course for you. The course develops the skills involved in holistic and complementary therapies including:-
Body massage, Facial massage, Healthy eating, Anatomy&Physiology, Managing stress and Thai Foot Massage
Through professional skills practice sessions, you'll gain experience and confidence working with clients.
In recent years interest in holistic therapies has increased considerably; this is expected to continue, providing employment opportunities to meet the demand from those seeking alternative ways to reduce stress and enhance feelings of general well-being.
What qualifictions do I need?There are no formal entry requirements. However a keen interest in the Complementary Therapy Industry and a passion for helping others is essential.
What can I do after?On completing this fast-track course students can go on to study the HNC Complementary Therapies which starts in August. This course will provide Advanced Treatments such as Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Advanced Massage and Clinical Work Experience for the progressing Therapist.
